Halfway between documentary language and authorial photography, Roger Grasas’ work addresses the role that technology and post-capitalism play in the globalized era of the Anthropocene, as well as the state of alienation suffered by human beings in an increasingly sophisticated contemporary landscape, full of paradoxes and sometimes indecipherable. The connection between territory and history and concepts such as difference or hyperreality are also commonplaces in some of his series such as “Atenea”, “Hotel, dulce hotel” or “Ha Aretz, the Promised Land”.
